Electronic knowledge

Design, development and testing of electronic systems: Analog, Digital, Power, Mixed-Signal and microcontrollers.
Analog electronics: low-noise, low-offset, high-accuracy sensor interfacing and multiplexing.
Digital electronics: data acquisition systems; RS232, RS422, RS485, SPI / QSPI, I2C, CAN, EtherCAT, BiSS.

Co-operation with FW/SW engineer during design and testing phases.
Firmware development in C/C++ for microcontrollers: STM32, STM8, PIC16/PIC18, dsPIC30/33, Arduino.
Firmware development in assembly for microcontrollers: PIC16/PIC18, STM32 (ARM-Cortex M3/M4).
Real-time applications and FreeRTOS (debug w/ SystemView-SEGGER)

Mechanical knowledge

2D: Autocad, QCAD.
 3D: FreeCAD, DesignSpark Mechanical.

Familiarity with IEC 60601.
Familiarity with DO-254 and DO-160.

Preparation of design documentation (reports, technical papers, development&verification plans, presentations, risk management, progress meetings, request of quotation).
Preparation of FMEA/FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis).
Preparation of PSA (Part Stress Analysis).
Preparation of WCA (Worst Case Analysis) and EWCA (Extreme Worst Case Analysis)
Preparation of FTA (Fault Tree Analyses).

Production & Testing

Design of final test specifications for production.
Support on Product Engineering for the specifications tuning.
Test-Bench and Test equipment implementation.
Support EMC/EMI and validation testing (electromagnetic compatibility aspects knowledge).
Interface with test labs for basic safety and EMC testing (60601).
